a.k.a. Tu Merchant was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  He started his musical journey with a group called Roots Melody – known in the reggae community for rammed basement jams and block-o parties and transitioned to “Bedrock Sound Crew.” From there Tu noticed the direction he wanted to go and took his skills solo.

DJ TuMuch (pronounced ‘too-much’) became a member of Future Vibes Entertainment (FVE) in 2001 as the first active independent DJ expanding the reach of FVE to the West end of Toronto. Tu brings his desire to play for the crowd and his style to have them wanting more.

DJ Tu specializes in R&B, Hip-Hop, and Reggae, with a touch of Classic House, Ole Skool and Top 40 using Serato and various pro audio applications.  Tu is ready and willing to try new challenges.
